Ok, managed to do 'erase nvram' before it crashed. I'm now somewhat stable in the console via serial.

Will test further to try to determine the cause of the crashes.

i believe the problem is the used bottom flash memory. i had the same problem with a ESR6650 device, the fix was to move the nvram partition from the end to the sector before. let me play with some ideas

Unfortunately, no improvements.

Issues noticed sofar

- command 'reboot' in shell causes crash
- changing username/password in webif still causes crash
- the wan-port and lan 3 seem to be swapped:
I can get an IP via DHCP from lan 1, 2 and 4 (wan), but not 3

Also, I noticed this:

no. from what i see here its a problem with accessing the last block of the flash chip. i can reproduce this here on a ESR6650 too which is my current testing device. it seems to affect only the 29lv320btc flash chip

The thing about LAN3 and WAN being swapped is hereby confirmed; I get a WAN IP when putting a 'live' cable in LAN3.

usually. the port swapping is no big problem. i know how to deal with it. right now the firmware is running on my device here, but i still need to make a special build for your device

Sehr gut!
Quote:

Wireless MAC 00:0C:F6:5B:45:94
WAN IP 192.168.1.215
