Hi everyone,

I would like to install dd-wrt on my asus WL 500 gp, since it has a lot of features and allows advances configuration.

However I have been looking on the internet and in this forum, and I haven't been able to figure this : is dd-wrt an open source project. I found many opinions that contradict each other. Wikipedia says it is, on a forum someone says it's not...

Thank you for answering me

Its free in all versions except for the fully enabled X86 (PC version). As for the open-ness of the project I will leave that alone.

Thanks for your quick answer.

Why that? I don't mind using non-open tools but I'm always glad when there is a support community.
Do you mean it's non-open?

You can buy a special version with some advanced features as well. Other than that, donations to the project are optional.
