Hi everyone!

I bought a Dlink DI-624 REV D1 router which have AP52-AR2316-RT plataform. This router have a MIRA P2V64S40ETP SDRAM memory module (Specifications: http://www.deutron.com.tw/data_sheets/sdram/p2v64s40etp_rev_11_08305.pdf) with 64Mb.

This is some pics of router PCB:

http://picasaweb.google.com.br/joao.osorio/DI624#5334796945752977250

I'm using the last firmware from Dlink rusian site: http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DI-624/Firmware/Rev%20D/dir-624_ar_plus_D2_FW404B44_nml.bin

Remember, this is a REV D version which is very different from REV C (which is incompatible with DD-WRT)
But, i wan't to know if is possible to install DD-WRT firmware on this router, or this router can support DD-WRT firmware.

Thkns anyway!

Sash! Thnks for your return!

How to Start?

Now that we know that the device is able to run DD-WRT you should do this:

check with a forum search if the device isnt already requested!

I`ve done a search but i cant find any reference to Rev D version of Dlink DI-624
Quote:
if not, start a new topic @ the forum with the subject: "your device with revision" give us all info we need for starting

* FCC-ID
* internal high res pics of CPU, RAM, FLASH, PCB
* maybe RAM/FLASH size and type and CPU type if already known

and if possible

* cfe.bin & nvram.bin via JTAG-Adapter (CFE backup by JTAG)
* serial output

There is no description of FCC-ID on the router PCB. The pics of PCB, CPU, etc. is in the first reply. The router have 64Mb SDRAM but i don`t know the flash size. The CPU is a AR2316, right?

I don`t have the JTAG backup but i have the firmware and configurations file (exported from dlink setup).
Firmware: http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DI-624/Firmware/Rev%20D/dir-624_ar_plus_D2_FW404B44_nml.bin
Configuration: see attachment

Compatibility

There are a few things to be figured out before we start. We/you need to know if its possible to run DD-WRT on it!

* check the Supported Devices page if your device isnt supported already!

I`ve searched for DI-624 in supported devices page but wasn`t sucessfull. But I identified some other routers with the same CPU AR2316 (OSBRiDGE 24XLG, Senao / EnGenius EAP-3660 and Ubiquiti LiteStation2/NanoStation2/NSLoco2/PowerStation)

Quote:
Please do the following check list and if one point fails your device will be not able to run DD-WRT!

* check the Known incompatible devices page and read it carefully. if you device is listed or fits into the incompatibilty information...you´re out of here

DI-624 Rev D isn`t in incompatibility list, only Rev C which is very different.

Quote:
* open the device and check if it´s Broadcom based (cpu) or is there the FCC-ID printed on a label? check on FCC.gov with the FCC-ID if your device is Broadcom based (internal pics)
* open the device find the flash chip. check out the chip @ Datasheet Catalog and if its <2MB, you´re out.

I can't identify the Flash chip... so i don`t know how much memory. The CPU isn`t a Broadcom.

Well, do you need more info!? If yes, please ask me!!

Best Regards,

in brief ... Is it possible or not to put dd-wrt to a di-624? In my case I rev d2 but the inside says pcb rev d1 Razz. I found this https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=59259 seems to put openwrt but could not understand as he did Razz.
