I see i see... hmm.. i guess i should go for the linksys then...
btw.. even if dd-wrt is supported (the buffalo) .. it wont support usb printer sharing right? _________________ You call this "broadband" ?? OH MY GOD...
USB Printer sharing is not a feature of this unit. With DD-WRT, anything is possible, depending on what is supported with DD-WRT, but seeing as how the 300NH is not going to be supported by DD-WRT any time soon, its basically not worth even discussing.
I haven't had any problems with my WZR-HP-G300NH. The web admin interface is pretty bad, but once I got everything set up the hardware has been fantastic. All the more reason I'd like ddwrt on mine.
I've read a lot of reviews about this Buffalo router. Also a lot about performance but the only thing that nobody is speaking about is the speed between the USB-nas and a pc over utp (and maybe wifi)
Is there somebody with this router+usb-nas that can make a small read/write test between his pc over the gigabit ports to the usb-nas? I ask this because all other routers with this usb-nas feature are really slow, speeds around 4MB/sec...
Another question i have about this router is if it is possible to route one port directly to the internet so this you can get your IP directly from your ISP.

I am on the hunt for someone to help me get DD-WRT on 4 of my WZR-HP-G300NH. I also bought the wireless N Bridge unit thinking I could use that to bridge the gap of the distance needed in my home. No wires so I need a repeater based type system. I have 1 main unit in router mode and the rest are in access point mode. But they dont support bridge repeater mode I found out after I bought 3 more of them.
So now I am going to buy a second Bridge unit to cover my issue but these other 3 units are sitting doing nothing. Would like to get wireless at 150mb/s everywhere in the house.
The nas performance I am getting was 8+ MB/s transfer.
If someone has a price on how much it would cost to build me a firmware to get DD-WRT working on it I am interested to know.
Looks like the WRZ-G300NH is included in the source code and has been for a while. I guess that doesn't mean much though since it is a different product (took me a bit to figure this out, posting it here to save others time).
direct download link on bottom of that post. _________________ Soylent Green Is People !

dd-wrt has now been official released for this type. right now we can just provide web upgrade images for buffalo devices for EU/US. buffalo doesn not want that we release flashable images for japanese routers at this time _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking?
