Did you guys switch RX and TX Antenna to SECONDARY?
I am using the 1650 with internal Antenna and Antenna-Settings set to SECONDARY.

Don't trust what the Status>Wireless in the 1650 is saying.
Check the SNR on your AP.

Had the Internal Antenne and set to Primary in DD-wrt.
result: Nice SNR in Wireless>status of the EOC (around 30) but bad SNR in my AP (SNR of 3 only).
Internet was really bad when set to Primary.

Funny is: I use the 2610 with EXTERNAL Antenna and set to Secondary in dd-wrt.
The 1650 with INTERNAL set to Secondary also.

Enrico, Your results are really bad.
Either the 1650 isn't as good as i expacted or the Buffalo HP 54 ist just awesome.

How can we get this big Problem solved?

i mailed with BS.
He wanted to check what i found out.
I am really not sure if the labeling is right.

So strange:
2610 using Secondary for External
1650 using Secondary for Internal

This can't be right?!

Did you dd-wrt Guys double-check?

What about the Bad SNR Enrico is posting here?

Ok, I had a really bad SNR with Internal and 20dbm today, too. (SNR: 3-5).
Antenna-Setting was just fine.

I pulled out my Buffalo HP 54 and put a 7dbi Antenna on it. TX-Power only 30mw. Got a SNR of around 20 out of it. Same Spot, same place.

Seems like its working with the Original Firmware if i see the Rates up in enricos post.

I can confirm the same problem. Same place with a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 gives much better signal than the Senao. I've tried different power levels and the signal vary, but it never reach Buffalo levels.

Just talked to BS.

Try the lastest Build:
03/25/09
since 03/19/ had a Bug!

Important: After update go to Wireless>Basic and Set the TX and RX Antenna again as you prefer and hit APPLY.
Doesn't matter if the right Antenna is already chosen. Just select and hit Apply again!

You can now even use a negative Antenna Gain like -5.
So you will get the rest out of your EOC 1650.
This works with the 2610 now, too.

Post your results here, please!!!

It says "Upgrade Failed" when I try to update from the webif.

I tried the two images, with linux.bin the message appears immediately, but with eoc2610-firmware.bin it takes about a minute to appear.

I'm updating from DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/19/09) std

Do NOT power off your EOC!
Try again.

Thought you have the 1650?
But you are using the 2610 image!

Only use the eoc****-firmware.bin NOT the linux.bin
linux.bin is for tftp if you fail.

Tried many times...

At last I used TFTP in Redboot loader and I upgraded it succesfully, I'll test SNR this afternoon
