Since i want to use a AES VPN tunnel i needed a more powerful hardware to run the encryption.

The HP has a VIA Eden 800Mhz CPU and 128Ram, now im a bit lost on how to get the wrt image to the system.

I tryed rawwrite under windows and the "dd-wrt_public_vga.image" image via usb flash stick.

But i get some kernel panic and it did reboot, could not read this fast. Is there a way to stop the reboot?

So in general is it possible to get wrt running on this system'? if not any advice for a router based EASY to use linux distro/package. I only need a simple router + openVPN.
