Installed dd-wrt on WRT54G v6, no internet

I have a WRT54G v6, but i cannot get to the internet. I can ping my external IP.

Is there a basic configuration you need to do so you can access the internet?

30/30/30 hard reset.

Make sure your computer is set to obtain IP address automatically (TCP/IPv4).

We might need to know a bit more on what type if internet connection you may have.

Cable modem, DSL (pppoe), etc,etc,etc.

You need to supply more information.

If you have a cable modem, you may need to clone your PC's mac address in the router. It may just require a power cycle of your modem. If you have dsl, is you modem it's own dhcp server or just a bridge so you would have to enter your login info in the router as well as dns server addresses, etc,etc,etc..

Common reason is not putting computer back to auto ip and auto dns. Other reasons are in the peacock thread sticky.
