I've been reading and reading and been seeing things like v2000 and v1000. How do I tell which one mine is? When I goto 192.168.2.1, I get:
Version Info
Firmware Version 4.05.03
Boot Version 2.01.09
Hardware F5D7230-4
Serial No. BEL1UNSY
Also, are there any screen-shots or anything that will tell me just what the firmware here will do for me? Something I currently have to do on a fairly regular basis is restart the router. On this Belkin, I can do that from the web GUI. Since the router is in the basement, it would be rather bad if this were to continue AFTER a firmware replacement unless the new firmware had the same reset function.
I wrote to know if there's a .bin precompiled version to flash firmware directly from web browser.
No there isn't and there is no work being done anymore on these very old and neutered routers. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
I just applied the instructions in this post to flash my Belkin F5D7130A, it worked very well.
I attach the firmware used in order to share it, if someone still need it.
File name is "belkin.dd-wrt.v24-9517_VINT_micro.bin" and is the "Belkinized" version of the original "dd-wrt.v24-9517_VINT_micro.bin".
