has anyone got there hands on one of these & tested it w/DD-WRT?...i c where the DD-WRT supported hardware list indicates to use RS v24SP2 - build 10907, but i can't seem to find that version in the downloads area anywhere...either way, i've ordered one & was hoping i wasn't the first to try it w/DD-WRT...seems it might b very promising considering the price to performance specs...cheers...;-} _________________ WRT54G-TM (12/17/08) mega-11218

push the reset button. plugin the power cord. hold the button for 10 seconds
then do tftp -i 192.168.1.20 put RS.dd-wrt.bin
your local computer ip must be staticly configured to 192.168.1.100
thats all
mine is working in this way _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me.." - Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_5YDRWqGE&t=60s

thanks for the quick reply BS...i was trying to tftp the DD-WRT image w/the host set to 192.168.1.254, until u said use 192.168.1.100 ...i went ahead & ordered another Ubiquity Routerstation since i suspect this new one is bricked...as u suggested, i set the my host to like u said & used the CLI to tftp the RS.dd-wrt.bin & it says it was successful, but after waiting 5 minutes & rebooting the routerstation, it doesn't respond to ICMP requests on 192.168.x.x ...after installing DD-WRT via CLI tftp, should the routerstation respond to the default 192.168.1.20?...if i can get DD-WRT on one of these Ubquity Routerstation, i will post the complete instructions for everyone else...thanks again...;-} _________________ WRT54G-TM (12/17/08) mega-11218

BS, i followed ur instructions & even allowed 10min b4 power cycle the routerstation, but i can't seem to access DD-WRT...i used the version RS.dd-wrt.bin that was posted today 29Jan09...i also used the exact filename RS.dd-wrt.bin when command line TFTP c:\tftp -i 192.168.1.20 put RS.dd-wrt.bin after holding reset button 10seconds after applying power...this is routerstation #2 and if it's bricked also, this is starting to get expensive...after applying RS.dd-wrt.bin to the routerstation, is there a different IP address to access DD-WRT?...please advise....thanks...;-} _________________ WRT54G-TM (12/17/08) mega-11218

dd-wrt will always respond to 192.168.1.1 on the both lan ports
the wan port is wan and you may went into the error, that the wan port must be used for tftp flashing. so i believe that you are simply connected to the wrong port _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? BS, thanks for the reply...sometimes an extra set of "eyes" is all that's needed...i did push DD-WRT thru the WAN port of the routerstation (192.168.1.20) & tried to access DD-WRT on the LAN port (192.168.1.1)...i can get a "change password" page, but the page is all jacked up...u know, black & white with errors...made good progress, but still can't get past the jacked up login screen....tried different hosts, cleared cache, etc, but don't seem to work...i remember seeing this on another DD-WRT installed i did months ago...should i go back to the original RS.dd-wrt.bin file that u had posted a week or so ago?...thanks again...;-} _________________ WRT54G-TM (12/17/08) mega-11218

thanks Sash...completed reflashing 20 times today alone...didn't seem to work...in fact, after reflashing, i lost all DD-WRT access on the LAN port...i did flash thru WAN port on 192.168.1.20 & waited 10min before attempting to access on LAN port at 192.168.1.1 but all i kept getting w/the "black & white" DD-WRT web interface...i'll keep working w/it thru the weekend then i guess i'll just give these boards away...thanks...;-} _________________ WRT54G-TM (12/17/08) mega-11218

Sash...telnet from LAN1 with host set at 192.168.1.100 didn't work...LAN2 is completely unresponsive...i even tried SSH but and received connection refused...i'll try to flash it again via the WAN interface (192.168.1.20) & maybe eventually i can get in telnet to set the web daemon...if i had hair i would pull it out...cheers...;-} _________________ WRT54G-TM (12/17/08) mega-11218
