Probably a redundant question but I'm new to DD-WRT so please bear with me.

I upgraded to DD-WRT on 3 WRT54GS units to install a WDS sequential network spanning a small farm.

After working through the setup I realized that all 3 units have the same MAC addrs! I tried using MAC cloning on one unit and upon hitting "save settings" the unit won't recognize the UID & password or the defaults. I tried using the reset button with no luck.

How do I modify the addresses so I can complete the install?

thanks -- ric

run this from the COMMANDS page on your routers GUI

Code:

nvram set et0macaddr=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
nvram set il0macaddr=YY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY
nvram set wl0macaddr=ZZ:ZZ:ZZ:ZZ:ZZ:ZZ
nvram commit
reboot

where et0macaddr is the LAN MAC, il0macaddr is the WAN MAC and wl0macaddr is the WIRELESS MAC

this info was taken from http://www.bitsum.com/openwiking/owbase/ow.asp?WRT54G5%5FCFE#h23
and i added the wl0macaddr command....im not sure if its correct...can anyone confirm please???
