What a shame to find out that when connecting an external antenna to the NS2 you lose around 3dBm in power.
This is due to the design of the board, there is a long pcb track running to the external antenna RP-SMA connector.

Has anyone tried fixing this?... ie. soldering low-loss cable in-between?...

I was looking for a powerful unit to combine with external antennas for high power and good ranges.

What a shame, I was going to use the NS2. I have a few here. I will use them, but with their internal antenna.

I have a few Gateworks running XR2 cards, very nice kit, but a bit expensive...

Can anyone recommend any other atheros-based, high power routers?...

Maybe I might run Wiligear WBD-111 with XR2 card...

Wait a minute, what's this - the Engenius EOC-2610... looks promising!..

Thanks again.
