upgraded on wrt600n....no fixes that I can see....still reverts to 130mbps on power cycle and requires manual channel changes (re-set channels) to get 270mbps, along with all the other bugs I mentioned in previous builds

I am testing FTP and I can move files back and forth from the server to a PC and seems to be working great. One thing I noticed (and I have noticed this on other NAS devices and can be fixed through firmware) is that it changes the creation date of the file once it is copied to the ftp server. The date modified should change, but the creation date should not change. This isn't a big deal with most files, but for date sensitive files like pictures etc it can be a problem if you want to preserve the date (or use synchronization backup methods). My drive is formatted in ext3. Can this be fixed by firmware changes, or this the nature of Linux and/or ext3 file system? Any suggestions?

Not really the nature of Linux or ext3. It's the nature of FTP. Maybe proftpd has some feature that allows you to preserve timestamps. Or you could archive the files (zip, tar, etc.) to preserve dates as well.

I think you got that info from me.
The latest Brainslayer (18-12-2008) was about 2 MB bigger than Eko's build. I was expecting to find pound in there, but pound isn't that big.

I found out that pound wasn't there, but a lot of other binaries instead like openser, tcpdump, asterisk and even 'stereorize' a binary to manipulate audio. (now THAT's a waste of space!! )

After I made a ticket in TRAC, brainslayer responded that there was a little problem with his development environment...

So, yes there's asterisk in the 18-12-2008, but that doesn't mean you have a webpage for it. If you want it, you can also load it in optware.....

I assume subsequent binaries don't have it anymore...
