WRT160N v2(Not Supported by DD-WRT)- How to avoid buying it?

Hi,

Does anyone know how what are the serial numbers on
the retail box which contains WRT160N v2?

If this information is available then it will
be a great help for the newbies who are looking
for DD-WRT compatible Linksys router.

I will definitely avoid buying WRT160N v2 which
Linksys is running RALINK chipset and it is not
supported by DD-WRT V24 firmware yet.

The problem is the retail box is wrapped with a
plastic cover and the retailers of the computer
shop will not allow the plastic cover to be
opened to check the router version.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

I've not verified this myself, just sharing what I found:

CSE01 is very rare now though I still find them at some stores. I avoided this issue by just getting the WRT310N.

I bought a 310N instead of taking a chance of getting the wrong 160N version also.

Though I do have to run it upside down to keep it cool enough... Smile
