We are very proud to release the final DD-WRT v24 to the public. After months of development and bug fixing we are sure this release is as stable and reliable people expect a DD-WRT major release to be. The v24 binaries are now available in the download section.

DD-WRT v24 offers many new features, on of the most important is support of Atheros wlan chipsets and SOC designs. By supporting special features of the Atheros wirless designs like half- and quarter channels and extended channel support DD-WRT is now perfectly suited for long range wireless links. With this DD-WRT is now also supporting the whole Ubiquity line of wireless products using all available features the hardware offers.

Highlights of DD-WRT v24:
- Virtual SSIDs, Virtual DHCP-Servers, PPTP over WAN enhencements, Bridging + VLAN support, VDSL Support, OLSR-Routing / Freifunk, My Ad Network (powered by AnchorFree), Quaqqa instead of Bird (in X86 + Xscale default), PPPOE-Server, EOIP-Tunnel, Network configuration enhencements, UP-Downstream (QOS), New Packet Schudeler HFSC, Save & Apply, extended DDNS options, extended status information, New Languages

New hardware platforms:
- X86, Xscale Gateworks, Atheros Soc (for a list, please look into the Download Section), Compex, Fonera, Ubiquiti

Thanks for all the help and response we got.

Is there a changelog and/or list of bugfixes for this release anywhere?

Also, any known bugs when upgrading from the RC's or v23?

Thanks.

I was wondering if there are any (major) differences compared to RC7 build 9433? I'd like to know if it's worth going through all the trouble of re-flashing and reconfiguring.

Plenty bugfixes... TRAC shows what's done with each build Smile

In v.24, there is mega_generic and std_generic verison for Linksys wrt150n v.1.1. Since version mega_generic is new for me, I am asking, what is difference and can I install mega version on my router? Thanks.

I don't think so.
150n is listed here ( http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices ) having 4 MB flash, so mega build simply won't fit.

That mega builds are also (dangerously, IMHO) listed on WRT54* routers, all 4MB routers.

I think for Broadcom based routers with 8MB flash, like WL500g-premium and others.

Access Restrictions no longer working as in DD-WRT v23 SP3 (07/21/07) std (SVN revision 7509. The same bug is in v24 special also. I use policy to deny/allow all access to internet. In v24 the same configuration don't work. So I was forced to revert back to v23.
