Hello everybody,
Do anybody from you know if the WRT160N-EU is supported? I can purchase only this model here in Kabul and they do not allow me to open the box before purchase..
If it's the WRT160N v2 then it has a RALINK chipset which means it won't work with DD-WRT (nor any other linux firmware for that matter). You have to call the provider and ask for an exact product name (including version/revision) or, if possible, a sample serial number. _________________ Q: How do I do ...? Thank for reply but that is the problem, the supplier do not allow to open the box before purchase so I can not check the version number. Never mind, I will try it, there is no other chance..
The provider should know what they are selling. Normally, the box has the part-number listed somewhere and the serial number MUST be listed on the box as well. With the serial number you could check if the unitis a v1 (supported by dd-wrt) or a v2 (not supported). _________________ Q: How do I do ...? A: Read the tutorials or Search forums
