Hello everybody,

Do anybody from you know if the WRT160N-EU is supported? I can purchase only this model here in Kabul and they do not allow me to open the box before purchase..

Thanks in advance!

If it's the WRT160N v2 then it has a RALINK chipset which means it won't work with DD-WRT (nor any other linux firmware for that matter). You have to call the provider and ask for an exact product name (including version/revision) or, if possible, a sample serial number.

Hi switch,

Thank for reply but that is the problem, the supplier do not allow to open the box before purchase so I can not check the version number. Never mind, I will try it, there is no other chance..

The provider should know what they are selling. Normally, the box has the part-number listed somewhere and the serial number MUST be listed on the box as well. With the serial number you could check if the unitis a v1 (supported by dd-wrt) or a v2 (not supported).
