I've looked in ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/WRT54G2V1%20Flashing/ and don't find build 12548 mentioned by Eko

"8. When if finishes booting up...do a hard reset on the unit...let it boot again, and configure.

9. Upgrade the NEWD_Micro.bin build 12548 after you have dd-wrt running, following the steps in note 1 of the peacock announcement

10. Don't forget to set your computer back to automatically obtain "

Dear all,

I have a WRT54G2 router, the version is 1.0.

I am currently using NEWD_Micro.bin build 12548.

Is there a newer build which is recommended?
If so, a download link would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I just successfully flashed my WRT54g2 v1

problem was that with dd-wrt.v24-15230_NEWD_micro-plus_ssh
my android phone could not obtain IP address via DHCP (dd-wrt show that it assigned an IP but it did not detect any hostname for my phone)

so I upgraded to dd-wrt.v24-15508_NEWD_micro-plus_ssh
and everything works fine

thank you for such a great support

ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/V24_TNG/svn12548/

And I do believe that 12548 is still the recommended build for this router.

Hi,

I'm considering flashing my WRT54G2 V1 (firmware 1.0.01) as described on the "hardware specific wiki" http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT54G2
Before I do however, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I still risk bricking on the hard (30-30-30) reset?

From what I gathered up till now these routers were very suceptible to bricking on 30-30-30 reset, but there was a workaround.
So now I'm wondering if the workaround has been implemented in the provided firmware/bin somehow?

I realize that this information can probably be found somwhere in this topic, but I'm way to impatient to read through 76 pages of posts to find out.
So I tought i'd just ask...

Thanks in advance,
Reech.

Edit:

Scratch the above.
I went ahead and tried it, and except for 1 close call (Mixed up the router name with an other one) I've got it running with v24-sp2 micro build 10709 NEWD (by Eko).

I'm still stuck with 1 question however.
The hardware specific page, as well as the peacock thread, advise to upgrade asap.
But they're not recomending the same build.
Which build is recommended for my router and where can I find it?

Thanks a bunch...
