hi , anyone have similiar problems ? I'm using broadcom_atheros build on asus 500gp with senao 8602+ and can catch much more networks in site survey compared to asus wifi, but all signal levels are very low and noise always -95 in survey and -96 if link is estabilished ... (so if I can see more networks - sensitivity of senao is better compared to asus card - right ? )
question:
can this be some driver problems of reporting wrong RSSI level and can't read noise level with senao 8602+ , or this is card problem?
strange thing is that i can see much more networks in site survey than with broadcom, but rssi level is lower with senao card compared to few networks that can see asus card...
And this is definitely not card power consumption problem . Tx is set to few dbm and card is working stable even with Tx set to 20 dbm ...
there is DC/DC 3.3 -> 5V upconverter for PA. And power for max TX is 3.3v@1A , but this is not a problem in my case, 3.3V line is moded and can produse such power , an low rssi level persist even if tx power is set to 5 dbm ...
(i'm going to test this card on desktop pc, maybe this is card problem...)
thanks
R.
edit: and transmit power is verry good with this card , but not rssi .... _________________ WL-500gP (@300MHz 128Mb RAM + USB_HDD)
