i know about this torrent file and readed the document. the problem is just that there is no way of catching him. first the gpl allows redistribution and second, a international lawsuit costs alot of money. the only way we can catch him is about his unbelievable lies in his documents, but not about the software itself _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? BS - if you remember, we spoke about personalizing one or two years ago on msn (or was it on icq ? i don't remember anymore)
Damn, just do it !
All you need is the source on the server, a compiling-script, move some files in a directory at request, change one file (insert the username), compile and give it out.
I know that this way would mean that every download for the special-version have to be compiled on the fly.
But you could also save the compiled file in a directory that the user able to download later again without new compile.
Do it man - it is your work and bastards like this are ..... argh . _________________ Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/21/09) std-special

the version for compiling just needed 1time.
at request it copies itself into a temp dir, compile and delete the source again.
the only thing that would after need space, is the compiled file for re-download. that is only an option for multiple downloads and didn't need to include. but if not, the file will be compiled every time on request. _________________ Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/21/09) std-special

would it be possible, like on Windoof, that an enduser would have to register his copy with DD-WRT, like an activation.
that should course less trouble on setup but will stop sharing the files with people who are not registered, as they cant activate it.
So just we are able to use it after 14 days/4 weeks? that's long enough to get it online for activation and even would let the people who might just "try" the software give an impression and the will buy it or leave it.
