Welcome to x86 / x64 r65498 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
List router model & version or revision, operating & wireless modes & exact filename/firmware image flashed.
CLI Flash: 'cd /tmp' then 'wget {file URL}' (httponly) or 'curl -O {file URL}' (http, https, ftp) 'write {file} linux' then 'reboot'.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Debug Analyze: stracetcpdump.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, SB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.

Router/Version: x64 4770k 32GB RAM
File/Kernel: dd-wrt_x64-webupgrade_full_vga_ext4.bin
Previous/Reset: no
Mode/Status: Router, NAS, Gateway
Issues/Errors: After uploading this file and it rebooted.
It left me with GRUB error 17.
I guess I have to use RUFUS or Physdisk write to redo the image of the latest build since webupgrade is no longer reliable.
Tried the Physdisk write now it booted but stops with the Kernel Panic of init not found in a loop. Running last years revision from spare drive will just roll back to r65291 after work tonight.
I usually boot a debian Livestick from USB, copy the file onto the machine and use good old dd to write the disk.
Dont forget, you need to write the .image files with your tools / dd. you cant write .bin.
But seeing the reports with non bootable devices and failed flahes, I'll refrain from this release and stay on the previous one.
I can live with segfaulting unbound, but not without router

The only time I used the .bin file was while trying to upgrade from the webgui was this file here. dd-wrt_x64-webupgrade_full_vga_ext4.bin for r65498 that left me with the Grub error.
Then I just blanked out the drive and used Spiderman's suggested software with the file named dd-wrt_x64_full_vga-ext4.image and that did boot but it would Kernel Panic with Init not found.
Tried the previous release same thing. Then loaded up what worked befoe which was r65140 and that booted up just fine.

Web upgrade from r65140 to r65498 failed!
Once upgrade command was issued from GUI, file blocks started written to the SSD bootdrive. Unfortunately, the SSD boot drive became unbootable. BIOS didn't even recognize it as an bootable drive.
Only way to recover is to reflash the SSD.
Note that I reflashed the SSD to r65498 and restored the backup created with r65140. Configuration was restored with proper settings and system is running fine for close to an hours.
