Welcome to x86 / x64 r65140 beta release thread for reporting, feedback to developers & community benefit.
Please do not flash builds until installation is understood, risks involved and device specificrecovery methods.
Avoid discussions, create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
List router model & version or revision, operating & wireless modes & exact filename/firmware image flashed.
CLI Flash: 'cd /tmp' then 'wget {file URL}' (httponly) or 'curl -O {file URL}' (http, https, ftp) 'write {file} linux' then 'reboot'.
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• WebUI: Clear history or use a portable. Temporary cache bypass: Ctrl+F5, Cmd+Shift+R or new private window/incognito.
• Please report findings with steps needed to reproduce, configuration, clients, output, logs and important information below!
Important:
• Detail issues & relevant configs, logs: syslog klog 'dmesg' 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages' nvram set console_debug=1, serial.
• Firewall NAT: 'iptables -vnL' 'iptables -t nat -vnL' 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' & 'cat /tmp/.ipt'. Debug Analyze: stracetcpdump.
• Gremlins: reboot. cold boot. Reset & reconfigure not restore backup. Search Trac & discuss in forum before opening tickets.
• Include operating & wireless modes (e.g. Gateway, Router, AP, SB, WDS, Mesh) and applicable configurations to reproduce.
Successfully upgraded from previous version w/ no problems. It also remembered my previous settings. Both of these issues were problematic several releases ago. Glad to see that they've been fixed.

Router/Version: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. PRO B550M-VC WIFI (MS-7C95) / DD-WRT v3.0-r65079 std (05/20/26)
File/Kernel: dd-wrt_x64_full_efi_vga-ext4.image (r65079) / Linux 6.12.90 #1086 SMP Wed May 20 15:35:21 +06 2026 x86_64
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r65079 std (05/20/26) / No
Mode/Status: Gateway / up
Issues/Errors: upgrade to r65140 failed (upgrade file used r65140 dd-wrt_x64-webupgrade_full_vga_ext4_efi.bin)
When I updated my x86_64 box to r65079, I used dd-wrt_x64_full_efi_vga-ext4.image file since I didn't see any webupgrade bin file associates with the 2GB.image.
I tried to upgrade my system today with r65140 dd-wrt_x64-webupgrade_full_vga_ext4_efi.bin file using webGUI.
Right the way, system console started to spill out strings of file block writing messages then follow with fs read error from certain blocks. My SSD was no longer bootable.
Recovery wasn't too bad since I have a backup. Just DD my SSD with r65079 ext4.image; do a restore and I'm back in business.
Would someone please kindly outline which webupgrade .bin file can upgrade which image and what is the proper way to upgrade my system to r65140 from r65079? My immediate concern are the full_efi_vga_2GB.image and full_efi_vga-ext4.image. I have one SSD with the ext4 image and one SSD with 2GB image.
Router/Version: x64 pc 4770k 32GB DDR3 memory several HDD's
File/Kernel: dd-wrt_x64_full_vga-ext4.image
Previous/Reset: Yes forced to do that
Mode/Status: Gateway/NAS/Router
Issues/Errors: None yet
I had to use the dd-wrt_x64_full_vga-ext4.image to even get it to boot up.
The dd-wrt_x64_full_vga.image wouldn't boot it would Kernel Panic with Init not found then restart in 20 seconds. Oh well EXT4 is journaled FS anyways and it is better.
ipv6 is working again. I know it took me a half a year to try a new build since Novemeber was the last time I had a working build.

Router/Version: MSI PRO B550M-VC WIFI (MS-7C95) MB with Ryzen5 and 16G RAM / DD-WRT v3.0-r65140 std (05/24/26)
File/Kernel: dd-wrt_x64_full_efi_vga-ext4.image (r65140) / Linux 6.12.90 #1098 SMP Sun May 24 12:29:07 +06 2026 x86_64
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r65079 std (05/20/26) / dd image to SSD then restore backup
Mode/Status: Gateway / up almost a day
Issues/Errors: webupgrade failed; had to dd image to SSD then restore configuration from backup; QOS does not work (i.e. packets count not updating); MT7921K WiFi 6E not supported
I guess this would be my upgrade workaround - use DD to write the new image to SSD and the restore the configuration from backup.
Everything is working as expected so far. However, just like the previous releases, the MT7921K WiFi 6E device was detected but failed driver upload and hardware initialization. QoS seems NOT working because the packets counts never updated.

If restoring a config from a very old build can break some things. I had an issue for months because DMZ wasn't working and only worked when I had to reset the nvram to defaults. Other weird issues can crop up from restoring from backup config.
As for the WIFI device not working. I don't think there is any support for the Mediatek wifi adapters. Maybe Brainslayer can chime in on this.

I was wondering about restoring from an older configuration as well. I guess always keeping a current backup paid off for me. Time will tell if this workaround will work with future release.
Having the Mediatek Wifi 6E working is not as pressing since I can use my Netgear R9000 as WAP and it is working fine for my environment. I do have another question on VLAN0 and I will post it in the Advanced Networking section shortly.

I encountered this recently (see attached console screen shot) and not sure if it is an issue.
It happen when I do a "Save & Apply" or "Reboot Router". The system will reboot twice then stabilized. Changes made (if any) will apply and everything seems operating normally.
If this is an issue causes concern, what is the best way to address it?
Please advise,
