I am using a r9000 as the router paired with a TP link omada as the access point (wifi disabled on r9000)
I can't find another router that supports DD-WRT AND has a 10G SFP port- I have 2gig fiber so all of the routers with 1gbe dont't cut it. And yes the VLAN stuff is a massive pain, so I'm open to other suggestions
The only way to circumvent the limit is to use the SFP port for WAN and LAN.
However, this requires an additional managed 10Gbit SFP switch.
And the user who configured it this way wrote that the SFP port often loses the connection when you change and save something in the GUI.
My setup (1.4G modem <-> 2.5g lan - 10g spf+ switch <-> R9000 10g spf+ <-> 10g spf+ - 2.5g switch <-> 2.5 devices) has been pretty stable requiring only a couple of resets in the last few months. But I haven't tried the new core yet and remain on r62606.
