I've got a network with 2 netgear 7800's running r60137. The basic configuration is router A is connected to my cable modem, and router B is connected by ethernet cable to router A. Both of them are configured as access points with the same SSID on both the 5 and 2.4 ranges. This setup seems to work pretty well (I've got a big enough area to cover that the two routers improve the speed for the wireless networks).

I've tried several configurations, but keep seeing the same results. The doorbell claims it handles both the 5G and 2.4G ranges, and I've tried the common SSID for the routers as well as a virtual ap on each range separately with a different SSID and there doesn't seem to be any behavior change.

When I turn on the doorbell and try to attach it to the network, I see a bunch of messages like:

Can somebody tell me what the syslog is trying to tell me?

Thanks.

I've got a similar problem with one of my Amazon Echo Dot devices, complete with similar entries in the syslog. Unfortunately, I'm at a loss as to how to troubleshoot further.

It doesn't apply in your situation, but my Aiwit doorbell would not connect to 2.4GHz when I had it set to AX Only on my MR7350s. Had to set up a separate 2.4GHz SSID on one of the APs, set to N/G mixed.

I finally figured out what was going on. After enough tries, my phone learned the password to the router as a word completion. Unfortunately, it was appending a space to the password.
