Router/Version: Linksys MR7500
File: Both Factory-to-ddwrt & webflash files
Kernel: unknown
Previous/Reset: R61848 with reset
Mode/Status: Factory defaults
Issues/Errors: neither build file successfully booted.

Both files just attempt to boot with a solid dark blue LED that never turns green. I get three failed boot attempts each time then auto recover switches partitions.

There is nothing in the oops partition because r61848 doesn't have one.

You don't flash factory-to-ddwrt from DD-WRT, so no idea what you were doing here other than trying to brick your device.

I echo what Wizo reported earlier.

Internet connection dropped out at around 15hours 20 minutes.

Netgear XR700
File: DD-WRT v3.0-r62540 std (11/05/25)
Kernel: Linux 4.9.337 #774 SMP Mon Aug 11 04:58:36 +07 2025 armv7l
Reset: No
Mode & Uptime: Gateway >15hrs
Issues: Internet connection dropped out. Both wired and wireless.

Reverted back to r61970. In my case.

For those that are losing connection...does a power cycle bring it back online? For me GUI reset will not but power cycle will...see

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=339201 Sorry I dont remember how to link directly to my posts at the bottom

Router Model 3x MX4300 and gateway, wap/vap and switch, 3x as mesh wap providers
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r62460 std (10/30/25) AND v3.0-r62540 std (11/2/25)
update: GUI
reset: NO
mode: Gateway, WAP,VAP, dhcp server, wireguard server and nordvpn (via OpenVPN) client

Everything seems to be working well, except the ongoing loss of internet connection. These version seems to have fixed all the other issues for me except that around 48 hours the internet will go down and is only restored via power recycle. Gui reboot will not work and wan release/renew will not work.
Could this be related to NTP time? I remember that being a problem with getting something several revs ago. Just a thought as that might be set different so for me its every 2 days but others get it every day or whatever.

Great work, the vaps and such seem to be working fine with this rev, were getting closer each time. Thanks so much for all you guys do...

So I just checked and my standard WAN ip renew is 24 hours according to ddwrt and I guess unfortunately my NTP time is also 24 hours (86400 sec)...so I guess that probably isnt the issue why mine is going down with recent release around every 48 hours....

Is there somewhere to see when the last NTP was performed like there is for the WAN ip?

In the syslog. Is the 24-hour WAN IP from the ISP settings? If so, you may have to adjust your NTP interval to less or more than 24 hours. There is also the process_monitor and check_ps functions in DD-WRT that should alleviate the issue, but this seems like it stops everything. I thought BS had changed the way dnsmasq operated at boot to alleviate the problem...

I only tried installing the factory-to-dwrt.img from the Linksys OEM firmware as the very name of the file suggests. I just assumed people would understand that is what was done. Obviously I severely under estimated the need to spoon feed people with literally every miniscule detail. I shall not repeat that grotesque error again. Meantime you can find me out back with Donny waiting to be shot.
