Router/Version: Optiplex 7060 with i7-8700, 32 GB ram, two 4 port RLTK 8125 pcie-e cards
File/Kernel: Full_vga_2GB
Previous/Reset: No (clean install)
Mode/Status: Router
Issues/Errors: None so far
This new build recognized both of my 8125 cards. I tried this two different ways. To keep from messing up my SSD with the custom OpenWRT build, i tried an old flashdrive that had build 60511 on it. I tried to do a no reset upgrade. It did not recognize the 8125 cards. I then tried a clean install of a new image and it came up fine. All good for the past 10 minutes.
Thanks Brainslayer and thanks kernel-panic69 for your help in getting the 8125 cards working. Also, thanks flood404 for your part in this. _________________ Optiplex 7060 with i7-8700, 32GB Ram, X710-T4L, i226 four port, & an AQC113 M2 slot card. DDWRT 63600 & Adguard Home.

I started having some internet issues and found out that I was getting some IP conflicts. with some of my crypto mining computers. The DHCP appears to have some issues. I switched back to my custom OpenWRT build for the moment. I am curious if anyone else has this issue? _________________ Optiplex 7060 with i7-8700, 32GB Ram, X710-T4L, i226 four port, & an AQC113 M2 slot card. DDWRT 63600 & Adguard Home.

Posted: Fri Oct 24, 2025 23:32 Post subject: Realtek 8125 6 port working again.
Router/Version: i7 4770k 32GB ram Realtek 8125B 6 port card
File/Kernel: Full VGA 64bit
Previous/Reset: YES
Mode/Status: Gateway, NAS, Router
Issues/Errors: Samba isn't working now. Ksmbd is acting up.
Ksmbd failed to send message -32 causing the VLC and Kodi to lock up. Can't browse shares anymore when that happens.
Thanks to CML750 for sharing that a previous configs wouldn't load the realtek provided driver.
I had to erase the Nvram and start over before it would load the Realtek driver which is ok as long as it works. Still have a backup of the older build and config on ssd.
Router/Version: industrial PC N4000 4GB RAM, 2*intel i226-v
File: dd-wrt_x64-webupgrade_full_vga_2GB.bin
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r62418 std (10/24/25) (prev. DD-WRT v3.0-r62374 std (10/19/25))
Kernel: Linux 6.12.54 #327 SMP Fri Oct 24 14:48:04 +07 2025 x86_64
Mode: Gateway, SFE disabled, Wireguard for external access, WAN (PPPoE/VLAN7) to GPON Modem, Automatic Drive Mount disabled - using own mount script for USB Disk, nfs to access USB3-ext4 SSD, Force reconnect 5:00 in the morning, using my own local NTP, CPU governour set to ondemand by script, Ignore WAN DNS, Recursive DNS Resolving (Unbound), using NAT66.
Reset: No
Status: Installed yesterday, multiple things to report:
1)
Update via Webgui did not end after the usual "a few seconds" timespan, but it took the whole timer to count down to 0.
The transmission from browser towards Router did never max out 10 Mbit/s, according to iftop.
Strange, since I can copy file to router or download files in its /tmp way faster (NVMe drive!).
Also I tested this on several PCs, all wired and set to 1GBits/s.
2)
PPPoE does not autoconnect after firmware upgrade and its reboot.
Despite being setup to do so, the first connect has to be done by hand.
This behaviour started with eight builds before previous release, if my counting is correct.
This can be done by either clicking "Status" --> "WAN" --> "Connect"
or
by changing someting under "Setup" --> "Basic Setup" and hitting "Save & Apply".
or
rebooting the router again, then it will autoconnect, too.
Forced reconnect to a time set works if connection was up.
3)
Code:
iperf3 -c anyiperfserver -6
sports max upstream when used on this N4000 router.
Code:
iperf3 -c anyiperfserver -6
sports 1-5 Mbit/s upstream when used in my network behind it.
This behaviour started unbeknownst to me, and I encountered it four releases back.
Possible this is related to me using nat66 in my network.
--> installing entware's ethtool and setting "rx-gro-list" to "off" for the LAN facing ETH port fixes this.
So i am trying this again since nobody else is reporting any IP conflict issues. I did another clean install. The DHCP seems to be working properly. One strange thing, when I installed it the first time the activation tab was not there. It was there the second time I installed it. I know 100% I installed the full version the first time because I used the same image to do the new clean install. I did purchase a new license for the Optiplex 7060. _________________ Optiplex 7060 with i7-8700, 32GB Ram, X710-T4L, i226 four port, & an AQC113 M2 slot card. DDWRT 63600 & Adguard Home.

If you didn't delete the nvram it has a knack of finding the old config and activation key if you didn't format over the specific area of the disk like a quick format wouldn't delete it.. To delete the Nvram for a clean setup use the restore to default settings in the webgui or do the nvram erase or erase nvram from the terminal prompt after logging in. Then you will get the activation tab and everything to default settings.
Brainslayer should have fixed the Samba issue I had with the drive or files being locked and not released which was a bug in the ksmbd which was fixed in r62435 just waiting on him to compile the latest fixes and release for me to test.
Might I ask how you proceed to connect Kodi or other systems to dd-wrts ksmbd?
I have a really hard time using ksmbd powered DD WRT Samba shares and scraped the use of it a few months ago, since neither kodi, Coreelec or my PCs could access files. Especially password restricted access was a pain.
Last time I created a folder on an ext4 USB Pen, "test", copied a few files into it, set up a user and thats it.
I had to scp the files into the folder, since I was not able to access it via smb:// from my PCs, maybe that the culprit?
Currently I use a nanopi neo3 as samba server (NOT ksmbd) and everything is working, but I'd really like to get the smb solution in dd-wrt working again :/.

Right now in the build that is available isn't going to work. Got to wait until the next release with the recursive lock fix applied.
As for setting up Kodi to read files off the NAS.
its accessed by smb:\\192.168.1.1\Drive share name here Doesn't matter if its Linux Kodi or Windows Kodi Then enter a user name and password and tell it to remember it if using a user name and password. Then when you browse the share in Kodi it will be 192.168.1.1 then it will show the drive share when you click on it. I can post my screenshots of the DD-WRT setup and Kodi setup if you want when I get home from work. Oh and I use SATA drives that are always connected to the system. USB is too slow to push 4K blu-ray content.
Thank you, if it is not too much I'd be happy to see those Screenshots.
Since the introduction of ksmbd a few years ago it literally broke everytime I gave it a try.
Devices asking for password over and over, not mounting shares and such.
Maybe I do something wrong?
Never got any input to messages regarding this, so I'm happy to see your answer
