Router/Version: Linksys MR7500
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r62374 std (10/19/25) / Linux 6.6.112-rt29 #4337 SMP Sat Oct 18 18:09:10 +07 2025 aarch64
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r62365 std (10/17/25) / Yes
Mode/Status: WAP, VLANs
Issues/Errors: The firmware upgrade via the web interface went smoothly. The problem with mounting the USB drive atill persists: the router enters a boot loop if the drive is inserted with automount enabled. The boot loop can be stopped by either unplugging the drive or disabling the automount feature.

Free memory is very low, even immediately after reboot. No change here:
Code:
root@MR7500:~# free
total        used        free      shared  buff/cache   available
Mem:          379844      288652       70408           0       31912       91192
Swap:              0           0           0

Since r62348 there is an oops partition present also for MR7500. However, currently it seems not to be in use, as it remains empty after the USB episode:
Code:
root@MR7500:~# cat /proc/mtd
dev:    size   erasesize  name
...
mtd19: 00400000 00020000 "oops"
mtd20: 13900000 00020000 "ddwrt"

root@MR7500:~# strings /dev/mtdblock19
<< Nothing is printed. Seems not to be in use yet. >>

Router/Version: Netgear Nighthawk R9000
File/Kernel: r9000-webupgrade.bin (r62374) / Linux 4.9.337 #774 SMP Mon Aug 11 04:58:36 +07 2025 armv7l
Previous/Reset: STOCK FIRMWARE / YES
Mode/Status: Gateway w/ QoS + USB Storage (guide by egc) + multi client split tunnel Wireguard VPN server.
Issues/Errors: Seems that the WAN port on my OG R9000 has gone bye bye. So swapped in the spare. Was running stock Netgear firmware, flashed it direct to latest and uploaded the config backup from the "faulty" unit (I think it's faulty, I've not had time to proper play with it to determine what's going on).

As part of the reconfiguration, I'd looked up my ISP settings and noted they now offer IPv6 via DHCPv6. So I enabled it.
This killed all of my IPv4 traffic. Couldn't even ping outside the network.
Disable IPv6, IPv4 comes back.
Enable DHCPv6, IPv4 traffic killed.
Disable it yet again and make this post. Would love to know thoughts on what's going on.

Router/Version: Asus rt-ax89x rev.B2
File/Kernel: DD-WRT r62374
Previous/Reset: 62192\Yes (erase nvram via telnet)
Mode/Status: AP, NSS-ECM-SFE, PANAMA domain, Advanced Settings manual 36 dBm on both radios, but show only 30dBm in GUI.
Issues/Errors: Yes. Nothing changes for me from build 61238. In this case this builds not usable for me. Also in this build added issue with not stable 2,4ghz at all, - repeated disconections and a lot of repeated code in log:
Code:
Oct 19 22:17:49.096 DD-WRT user.err : [ath11k_watchdog] : zero signal issue detected on interface wlan1

After upgrade from 61238 to ANY new build (all versions tried), after reset to factory defaults, SSID 2,4Ghz not visible if I connected to 5Ghz. But if I manual disconnect device from 5Ghz, I can see both radios. If I connected to 2,4Ghz, 5Ghz visible. Very strange behavior.
Only difference what I found in GUI after build from 61238, that MAC address 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz the same in wireless tab in information string "HWAddr":
In build 61238 in wireles tab MAC's are different:
SSID [dd-wrt-5G] HWAddr [xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:EE]
SSID [dd-wrt] HWAddr [xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:EF]
In builds AFTER 61238 in wireles tab MAC's the same:
SSID [dd-wrt-5G] HWAddr [xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:EC]
SSID [dd-wrt] HWAddr [xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:EC]

So I have to stay now at build 61238 as the last usable buld with no issues for me. But I will try for this moment to use this build for a few time.
Is there any advance settings that need to do, that the 2,4Ghz radio will be visible if I connected to 5Ghz or can it be fixed in future builds? My setup is almost basic.
Thank You!!!Having updated the ASUS RT-AX89X rev.B2 from the previous public build 62192 with an NVRAM reset, I have observed no discernible changes. The problem I previously described, which began after build 61238, as detailed here: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1318011&highlight=#1318011, continues to persist. Specifically, the 2.4 GHz network is not visible on devices already connected to the 5 GHz network. Conversely, if a device is not yet connected, both radios are visible. Furthermore, if connected to the 2.4 GHz network, the 5 GHz network are visible.

I think this big problem (same hdwrmac's) is related to hdwrmac address that is the same for both radios 5Ghz and 2,4Ghz.
Is there any trick to see different hdwrMAC's like it was till 61238 build? I am a big fan of DDWRT and I am very hope that it will be fixed in future builds as soon as possible. Thank you.

After update, went into a a boot loop. It would come up for about 1 minute, just long enough for the GUI to start, then crash and restart. I've included a syslog excerpt that shows several crash/reboots. Hope it helps.

Mode: Gateway, SFE disabled, 2.4G (20MHz mixed, WPA2 Personal, WPA3 Personal / SAE - CCMP-128 (AES)) and 5G (80MHz AX / AC / N Mixed, WPA3 Personal / SAE - CCMP-128 (AES)) wifi, bridged VAP on 2.4GHz, Wireguard for external access, WAN disabled, DISABLED Keep Alive reboot 6:02 in the morning, using my own local NTP
Reset: No
Status: Installed at release.

I had to restart this router several times after installation, both WLANs were slow and sluggish.
All wireless devices had problems to connect to www, "Status" --> "Wireless" did show the "0 SNR / Signal Quality / RX Rate" Problem. After several reboots those problems were gone.

This happened even without any device being active in Wifi, I disabled them all, let the router sit there after reboots for like two hours.
Nevertheless... when it is working after a few reboots it is doing its job quite good.
So I decided to disable automatic reboot each night, for now.

Did some speedtests with iperf3 towards external server.
No problems with ipv4/6 or receive or send. All devices reach max speeds according to their wireless capabilities.

I decided to remigrate all devices of mine into its WLAN again!

No new entries in its oops partition Smile

have you tried to turn off NSS-ECM-SFE

what is basic...have you tried any other domain than Panama....try Costa Rica
or another...TX power depends on country domains...

also 36 dBm is stupid and wont work on Panama...even 30dBm is too much and this means devices need to be able to support it..so, not always 30 is good..but anyway...it should work...

yep mine are the same too, but i don't have client connection issues...so, you have to consider another options and issues...tightly related to your hardware or set up may be...or bad client incompatibility..and so...

at the end of the day the only thing that will help to address and tackle the problem, will be serial output...settings used and ect... all available details that will help the main developer and others to look at and spot an issue/s...

Issues/Errors: Seems that the WAN port on my OG R9000 has gone bye bye. So swapped in the spare. Was running stock Netgear firmware, flashed it direct to latest and uploaded the config backup from the "faulty" unit

UPDATE: I was fiddling around with wireguard tunnels - I run two by default but was playing with a config for a third with multiple clients when the "new" R9000 did the exact same unable to connect to my cable modem malarkey as the "old" R9000 - stops passing traffic, can't renew a lease, won't get a lease if I reboot the router.

The old R9000 had started working again after a factory reset so that's what I did with the new one - immediately upon reboot, connected, received DHCP lease and started working. I uploaded the config taken from the old router a couple of days ago, rebooted again and it's working as expected.

IPv6 DHCPv6 still kills IPv4 transit for some reason still. Might have to try that one with a defaulted configuration another day.
