As always, the Quantenna chip has its own quirks. This is a closed source chipset
There is no way to install a channel.
But you can disable 5.0 GHz. @mpgalaxy hack "If you set the radio mode to station bridge and disable the network mode, the 5GHz device will turn off completely even after reboot."
If your router's light turns red, don't worry. Internet connection is ok.

Router/Version: Netgear R6400 v1 File/Kernel: Previous/Reset: Mode/Status: Issues/Errors: Blows up VoIP SIP
Upgraded a pair of these that are running VoIP through a vpn. As soon as update was finished the SIP registration on half of the phones running through the VPN died. Investigating this I found all the affected phones were using port 5060 for registration, the phones that were not affected were using port 5160 for SIP. Changed one of the phones a Polycom VVX 201, from 5060 to 5160 and the phone immediately registered.

This build also has an issue when restarting or cold booting where DNS hangs. You can ping but not resolve anything. It only happens during restarting or rebooting. I have no logs. The last good build for me is 08-08-2025-r62036 after that something changed. Otherwise a solid build.

Which module you use to DNS translate ? I've got Smartdns configured and occasionally that problem is exist. I'm solve that with command line on computer. ipconfig /flushdns and netsh int ip reset and netsh winsock reset. After that commands I'm made rm /var/log/messages and reboot device via putty. I'm not sure what provoke this problem. Last time I'm migrate from Windows 10 to 11 and I'm refresh IP configuration via cmd.
I suggest you to update device to the newest DD-WRT build. Flash file is smaller and software can be more stable.
