There are tons of routers on the market...Netgear produce routers using different SoC vendors...Atheros, Qualcomm, Broadcom, Mediatek.....
My general rule when buying a new router is, to be able to handle a 3rd party firmware...
it takes 5 min to do a research on google, duckduck or brave...
"supported devices ddwrt" always yields the same result...
Also my general preference is to avoid, Broadcom and Mediatek vendors...just my taste...
