Hi everyone, I have a problem. I recently installed the firmware indicated in the description, following all the steps written in the various guides here, I'm finding that during the day the connection freezes and then automatically resumes. I would need someone to help me understand and correct any errors, considering that I'm not an expert user. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
For now, I'm attaching these photos. I'll attach more with the general configuration later to see if there are any errors. However, last night I didn't have any problems with my devices; they were all connected, and the internet didn't freeze. I suspect that since I live in a very crowded apartment building, I think there's some interference that's causing this inconvenience. What do you think?

SSID name is missing so put something...as some clients are not happy with blank name...
Im also not using ---> TurboQAM (QAM256) so mine is disabled as i dont have netgear compatible clients nor any other that support it..but it should be fine even...
to repeat myself Key Renewal Interval is set to 36600 or mine is 21600 anything better than 3600

Anyway, I wanted to give you a quick summary, I'm in Italy, I have the Netgear router connected to the Sky modem in cascade, I live in a very crowded apartment building, and anyway since yesterday it seems to be working well without interruptions. I disabled the 5GHz band because I read on your profile that you recommend not using 5GHz.
Can you please help me with the security and privacy desk? I have a question about VPNs. Do you recommend them? And which protocol should I use? VPN or Wireguard?

Preamble and Shortslot Override must be set to Short
TX Power set it to 999 its ok like that it wont go over the maximum limit anyway..but 99 is very low no wonder why you had troubles...
Legacy Rates (11b) - i disabled those as i dont have old B radio devices...and i also use country domain ITALY as it delivered better TX power...
as far as Broadcom radio settings they have always been on the top of the Broadcom section, Sticky's and they are quite obvious...indeed...
same for VPN and Wireguard check Sticky in Advanced Networking section, lovely guides made with a lot of effort...just need reading...
Wireguard will deliver better speed as it is in the kernel space, while VPN offers extra options as commands and options...but it take a big toll on the CPU...my R7000 with VPN can deliver around 30Mbits ish... _________________ Atheros

I just dont touch Frag Tresh... and RTS...i left them by default values...and its fine...guide will recommend a lower values but my experience was bound to a problematic speeds on some clients...so i left them to default... _________________ Atheros
