GUI pages remain mostly empty also after a reboot.
The router works, and fortunately I have SSH access and easyddup to revert to the previous build of August 22.

Reset browser cache, use private/incognito mode without extensions, use another browser.

No problem on my end

P.S. you probably mean build 62157 which has just been released

I tried Firefox, Pale Moon and Epiphany (which I don’t normally use at all), but no success. Pages of the GUI showed only setting values but nothing else, nor tab headings.

I downgraded and wait for more reports before trying again.
