Hello

I temporarly need a DD-WRT router. I have 1Gb internet so I need the best wired performance. Even though I wont use Wi-Fi, I do need it to have WPA3 (for modern support) just in case in the future. With 4 ports, I believe it is enough. I dont want to go over 100€

I mostly need it to act as a OpenVPN server and Im outdated if I can block ads at DD-WRT level.

Yes, I know there is a pinned thread but it is completely outdated and messy.

I need this ASAP so no AliExpress 20 day shipping. In Europe, so Amazon avaliably would be best

Thanks

If you can find it on Amazon or Ebay... Dynalink WRX36 has all the boxes...powerful CPU and flawless performance...on the downside, first install is a bit follow the steps...but nothing special... https://support.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dynalink_DL-WRX36 otherwise a mini/micro PC https://eu.protectli.com/ you can find similar alternatives a bit cheaper on amazon...

All I can say is, I'm not linking this thread in any previous one. Because the information hasn't really changed in the Announcement. Some people are just plain obtuse.

When I checked earlier this week, the Dynalink was not available on Amazon.

I found a couple of other listings that has them in stock:

Not sure how much I'd trust those, but have at.

I'm very happy with my ProtectLi Vault box.

You can get an older/used one off eBay b/c frankly at several generations old it still has so much performance headroom, it leaves nothing to be desired.

Still looking for one that can handle 1Gbps/1Gbps....I wanted to have it "just in case".

As cheap as possible than can handle DD-WRT. Thats it.

mine is a rock solid...with flawless performance...but there ware some reports about units with bad radio chip and flaky performance...for the record i dont like guest networks and never use those...if i need guest radio it will be another unit...rather than software split that decreases radio bandwidth and its stability usually depends on updates...fact...

at the end blocke asked about wired performance ...so yes, my choice is still WRX36 or MX8500 Cool
