Router/Version: Linksys MR7350 x 3
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r61745 std (06/12/25), Linux 6.6.93-rt29 #3484 SMP Wed Jun 11 23:22:29 +07 2025 aarch64
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r61711 std (06/09/25), last reset on r61711
Mode/Status: Gateway (NSS-ECM), Access Point (5GHZ-HT20 AX/AC/N mixed, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:UNITED STATES), performance governor, IPV6 (DHCP6 w/ prefix delegation), Entware, DOT via SmartDNS/DNSMasq, OpenVPN server, Wireguard Server + 2 Wired access points (2.4GHz-HT20 N/G Mixed, 5GHZ-HT80 AX/AC/N mixed, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:UNITED STATES)
Issues/Errors:
Up 4 hours. USB 3.2 stick working properly for Entware and "jffs" partitions. Speed, wired and wifi, is very close to published, which is equal or favorable to the ISP router - tested via nPerf.com. Wireguard and OpenVPN servers both working as expected and throughput sufficient to open video files on network shares. 5GHz showing 22dBm (set to 30dBm). 2.4GHz showing 28dBm (also set to 30dBm).
MAC address of br1 in the Networking tab is displayed as a random single ASCII character (even after full reset), but this is not service-affecting. No issues so far.

Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r59171 std (01/14/25), full reset and reconfig
Mode/Status: Wired access points (2.4GHz-HT20 N/G Mixed, 5GHZ-HT80 AC/N mixed, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:UNITED STATES, DD-WRT firmware)
Issues/Errors:
Up 2 hours. 5GHz Wireless speed on the primary and guest wifi networks are close to published. 2.4GHz showing 30dBm and 5GHz showing 24dBm (both set for 30dBm).
Wanted to see how the revamped Networking worked on this router, as I may need to send it to my daughter to replace the crappy one from her ISP. Basically copied the settings from the MR7350. I did notice that the 2.4GHz is consistently slightly slower than the MR7350 - ~58Mbps vs 66Mbps. Same display issue with the MAC on br1 as above. Otherwise, worked perfectly.

R7800 - seems that this build kills WAN DHCP if NSS-ECM-SFE is enabled, cannot get IP from cable modem. Just SFE works fine. Couple of builds ago it was not an issue. Anybody else?

Kernel Version: Linux 3.10.108-d11 #200482 Thu Jun 12 03:33:30 +07 2025 mips
Mode: Gateway/AP/Android Tethering WAN Reset: Yes (webUI flash is f*cked. TFTP recovered to this build and loaded backup taken prior to flash)
Status: OK
Uptime: ~30m
Issues/Errors: None, save and except that webUI flashing this device is now completely b0rked. It *used* to sit and the diagnostic LED flash forever until finally rebooting and coming back up. Now, it cuts off at some point and does not write the image to flash, whatsoever. Unfortunately, I have never opened this one up to attach serial, nor was I tailing the log, but it's been f*cked the past several builds I've tried via webUI the past year or two.
Router: Netgear R7800

Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r61613 std (06/02/25)
Reset: No
Mode: Gateway, wlan0 & 1 AP, DNSCrypt (non-Entware), Android Tethering WAN.
Status: Ok
Uptime: ~30 min
Issues/Errors: None. Automatic upgrade via /tmp/firmware.bin still works flawlessly. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Yes, all builds since r60791 seem to be incompatible with ipq806x R7800 when NSS acceleration is enabled.

This has gone on far too long and while it's not a show-stopper, it's annoying as hell!

Oddly enough, I have found disconnecting all the LAN ports allows the WAN to get an IP address. No idea why. I have been seeing this on and off since r60771 on an EA8500. Easy solution was to just stick with SFE instead of my once working VERY WELL NSS-ECM setting.

This affects EA8500 as well. As long as this situation exists, it basically means there was never any need to add NSS cores since they are not working now anyway and taking up lots of EPROM space (lots of kernel modules) for a feature that is now pretty much worthless. _________________ - Linksys EA8500: I-Gateway, WAP/VAP 5ghz only. Same display issue with the MAC on br1 as above. Otherwise, worked perfectly.
Thank you Brainslayer.
On my R7800 on the various latest builds the MAC for br1 (named differently, but the only one I've added) has consistently been displaying the same number as for Priority on the same line in the GUI, viz. 32768. Never a single random character.
It doesn't seem to cause any trouble, though.
