my other R7800 has a x4 VLAN's and VPN with PBR and as soon as i flash it, it goes to bootloop...if i do a nvram erase...after flash unit goes to bootloop...if i use the button it goes to bootloop, i can reset before the flash from old 61745 then flash the new firmware with no problem...then as soon as i activate VPN client it goes to bootloop...will be the same for my other VPN client routers R7000 & 1043v2 sadly those 2 doesn't have a TFTP to try it so many times, and i cant be bothered to experiment...no time for serial or nrpmflash..as those units are in use... _________________ Atheros

Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r61806 std (06/17/25), last reset on r61711
Mode/Status: Gateway (NSS-ECM), Access Point (5GHZ-HT20 AX/AC/N mixed, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:UNITED STATES), performance governor, IPV6 (DHCP6 w/ prefix delegation), Entware, DOT via SmartDNS/DNSMasq, OpenVPN server, Wireguard Server + 2 Wired access points (2.4GHz-HT20 N/G Mixed, 5GHZ-HT80 AX/AC/N mixed, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:UNITED STATES)
Issues/Errors:
Up 3.5 hours. USB 3.2 stick working properly for Entware and "jffs" partitions. Speed, wired and wifi, is very close to published, which is equal or favorable to the ISP router - tested via nPerf.com. Wireguard and OpenVPN servers both working as expected and throughput sufficient to open video files on network shares. 5GHz showing 22dBm (set to 30dBm). 2.4GHz showing 28dBm (also set to 30dBm).
MAC address of br1 in the Networking tab is now being displayed correctly. So far everything looks good.

I can confirm the bootloop on my R7800. No VPN, just a normal update. TFTP back v3.0-r61745 std (06/12/25) and I'm back in business. I understand you want logs, but I don't have an extra router to play around with.
Update method: webupgrade
Router/Version: Linksys MX4300
File/Kernel: dd-wrt-webflash.bin 61824 / Linux 6.6.94-rc1-rt29 #3540 SMP Fri Jun 20 05:06:53 +07 2025 aarch64
Previous/Reset: 61745 / No reset.
mode: Gateway/Primary, dhcp server, openVPN-Nord client and wireguard server also connected to 5 other MX4300 as mesh and subnets
This broke wan/lan ip when used as primary router...appears to be something with dhcp going on with both sides, LAN and WAN. Initial upgrade was still working okay but within an hour or so it had my tplink switches resetting themselves via dhcp to be primary..which is very weird.
So I have three TL-SG108E VLAN/smart switches and the primary net is 192.168.0.1 which is the primary MX4300 ip. Somehow, this made them all reset themselves to 192.168.0.1 which I am guessing was being assigned by the dhcp server or it was erroring in such a way to make them default to that, because up till this point, they all had reservations for say 192.168.0.133, 0.134, 0.135... On the wan side would get the ip address but as soon as a device was connected that called for dhcp, would drop the internet configuration and show an error in the assigning address syslog. Would retain the wan ip but the router no longer had internet connection via flashing red light and such. I do not know if it connected to a syslog server I have running due to this issue but if it did I will try and send the relevant logs.
Since I have a few of these, I had a backup just before I upgraded so confirmed that its a firmware thing by doing this twice and same symptoms.
Swapping back in or upgrading results in the same issue vs 61745. Meaning with no changes to config, just upgrading will assign those addresses to the switches and mess up the lan side. I too do not currently have a serial output but might be able to get it to you, just at least its something with the dhcp assignments process. putting back in a 61745 and all was back to normal. Note I did not try the do the interim 6-17 upgrade.
I also have not been able to downgrade the three routers that are now on 61824 as trying to do it via webupgrade failed multiple times. I will work on that and also see if I can sniff the traffic to see what else i might be able to add.
Also I tried toggling off the openvpn and wireguard before upgrade and that did not appear to change the results. I did not try using the openvpn connection for fear of getting the bootloop that is happening on the 7800 mentioned above.
On 3 other routers that are just acting as mesh AP or switch/vlan but not assigning anything, I have noticed no problems with the upgrade.
As for the switches, have never seen that kind of behavior before, so I do not know if they error out and just assign that as default address...I seem to remember that might be how they work, I will check that, but perhaps if it cant get a dhcp assignment after X time it defaults to whatever subnet it is on. Anyway, never seen that before.
Isolating/Upgrading the router with just the modem connected would work okay and get internet connection and wan...noted by the lights changing, but any dhcp call either wireless or wired would then kick off the internet and even though address was assigned sometimes, would not work correctly.
Static connection to router would work, but no internet...etc etc.
Please let me know if there is anything I can test short of the serial log as I have the devices to do it.

Previous: DDWRT r60771
Update Method: WebUI
Mode/Status: Gateway/Ok
Reset: No
Setup: Gateway router off xfinity cable modem. Simple basic setup
No Issues to report on my Linksys MR7350 upgraded from r60771. Everything is working without a reset so far. DHCPv6 with Prefix Delegation /60 and Dnsmasq IPv6 settings working as intended.
Could be my signal seems a little weaker after flash from r60771. same location instead of mid 60's I am in high 40's signal strength - same chair and location. increased tx power on both channels 2dbm, nothing noticeable this small change. Could be extra noise around me as I am noticing new channels when I scan with LinSSID from my laptop. 2.4 security WPA2 Personnel & WPA3 Personal SAE CCMP-128 // 5.0 WPA3 Personal SAE CCMP-128.
Forgot the thank you to BS and dev's!
