r7800 boot loop bricked and ea8500 won't take the update. Both NSS-ECM. The r7800 was a 5g WDS client with VAP and 2.4 AP of the similar ea8500 WDS AP gateway.

Yep same here...one of my R7800 bootlooped, than tried reset and update to 806 but no avail, same boot loop, also tried few builds back and than different settings same bootloop, however another one of my R7800 made it trough..and updated to 61806
My R7800, both similar setup, but one is a VPN client (bootlooped), no time to investigate ATM...reverted back to 61745 and still using the flashed 61806 unit too
p.s. Same problem with XR500, after CLI flash, unit is not accessible, no, GUI, no SSH, no internet connection...reverted back to 61745 via TFTP again.. _________________ Atheros

Router/Version: Linksys MR7350 x 3
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r61806 std (06/17/25), Linux 6.6.93-rt29 #3509 SMP Mon Jun 16 14:02:50 +07 2025 aarch64
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r61745 std (06/12/25), last reset on r61711
Mode/Status: Gateway (NSS-ECM), Access Point (5GHZ-HT20 AX/AC/N mixed, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:UNITED STATES), performance governor, IPV6 (DHCP6 w/ prefix delegation), Entware, DOT via SmartDNS/DNSMasq, OpenVPN server, Wireguard Server + 2 Wired access points (2.4GHz-HT20 N/G Mixed, 5GHZ-HT80 AX/AC/N mixed, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:UNITED STATES)
Issues/Errors:
Up 4.5 hours. USB 3.2 stick working properly for Entware and "jffs" partitions. Speed, wired and wifi, is very close to published, which is equal or favorable to the ISP router - tested via nPerf.com. Wireguard and OpenVPN servers both working as expected and throughput sufficient to open video files on network shares. 5GHz showing 22dBm (set to 30dBm). 2.4GHz showing 28dBm (also set to 30dBm).
MAC address of br1 in the Networking tab is displayed as a random single ASCII character (even after full reset), but this is not service-affecting. No other issues on this router.
Router/Version: Buffalo WZR-600DHP
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r61806 std (06/17/25)
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r61745 std (06/12/25), no reset
Mode/Status: gateway ("backend" router to allow Verizon Remote DVR), port forwarding, no wifi
Issues/Errors:
I have kind of a weird setup on this router where the Verizon supplied router is on the LAN side, and my internal network is on the WAN side (gets a 192.168 DHCP address from the gateway). DNSMasq is configured so that the Verizon router gets the same IP address as my gateway (I manually update Services and NAT every time the public IP changes, which isn't very frequently), essentially tricking the Verizon router into thinking it is the internet gateway.
Unfortunately, after update to r61806, Verizon router wasn't getting an IP address at all. Checked "ps" command and DNSMasq isn't running at all. Based on the system logs, it looks like an unknown parameter in dnsmasq.conf. It seems to be the line that just says "m". If I roll back to r61745 (no other changes), this line isn't there.

Check your additional dnsmasq entries. That's most likely where the issue is preventing startup, but check *all* dhcp/dnsmasq-related configurations. I don't recall any changes that would cause this, but it could be related on how infinite leases are handled and new defaults.

Update on the WZR-600DHP. I did a full reset and reconfig, and the mysterious "m" line went away. It had been a few years since I did one. In fact, I'm not sure I ever did a full reset since I swapped the WZR-600DHP for a WRT54G that used to serve the purpose. No surprise there was some leftover garbage in the config variables. The surprise is that it took this long to rear it's ugly head. _________________ Formerly dpp3530 Linksys MR7350

If anyone can test the tunnel from Hurricane Electric, please conduct tests to identify errors. There is a well-founded concern that the tunnel connection is unstable. Almost a day on the new firmware and there was a break in the connection. Restarting the router did not help. The connection was restored after manually applying the settings on the tab IPv6.
There is a danger that this is not a connection failure with the Hurricane Electric servers. I do not have enough brains to get to the bottom of it. It was necessary to draw the attention of the community to this problem
I really hope it's Hurricane Electric or the ISP is glitching
