Router: Netgear XR500
Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r61613 std (06/02/25) via CLI flash
File: dd-wrt-webupgrade.bin
Kernel: Linux 6.1.140-rt28 #582 SMP Wed May 28 17:47:06 +07 2025 armv7l
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r61542 std (05/30/25)
Reset: No
Mode: Gateway, wlan0(1) AP, (5GHz radio broken).
Status: Ok
Uptime: ~15 min
Issues/Errors: None except as noted. SFE (only, no other options) enabled / disabled working to allow obtaining WAN IP. 2.4 LED is random (as already noted for R7800). Wound up having to do the Linux kernel magic to reboot after 'write filename linux'. See attached logfile of CLI flash. Anyone else notice the kernel build date not being same as firmware image date? Luckily, no kernel-specific commits since May 28th.

Just noticed a minor thing. Most of the posts report the version as 61613, and my WZR-600DHP shows that version, but the MR7350s report 61616. Looks like just a few extra commits.

I flashed this build yesterday on my MR7350.
All went fine.

But from 2 devices on a mixed mode 2.4GHz VAP "wlan1.1" only one connected.
No trace of the other one even trying to connect to this VAP in Syslog (also checked with a grep -i through /var/log/messages, only one device appeared).

I went ahead and tried Wiviz Survey for this VAP - it stayed empty.
I checked Site Survey - nothing happened.

After this I lost all access to this MR7350.

Not able to ping it via ipv4/6 anymore, wasnt able to access it via SSH.
Waited roughly half an hour, but to no avail.
It was still broadcasting its WiFis, but on WLAN 0 and 1 no device was able to connect to it or the internet. Trying to reconnect them resulted in DHCP error according to Android.

Unplugged Power and replugged the router.
Everything came up online.
Also all devices connected right from the start.

Today after scheduled reboot this night, still everything is fine.
But since I never observed this before, I figured I'd report it.

Router/Version: Linksys MR7500-RM2
File: DD-WRT v3.0-r61616 std (06/02/25)
Kernel: Linux 6.6.92-rt29 #3426 SMP Mon Jun 2 13:25:21 +07 2025 aarch64
Previous/Reset: R61465 - No reset
Mode/Status: Gateway, USB/NAS, VPN Server, DNSCrypt enabled
Issues/Errors: With past few updates, available memory is going down and Swap usage is going up.

I am positive I have a mutant version of the MR7500. I'm only mentioning what I am observing wondering if others are seeing the same behavior. Probably not. Other than that I really have no issues.

The info below is right after cold boot, internet connection, one ethernet client, and three IoT wireless outlet clients. Swap usage has gone from less than 2MB back at R61337 to 55MB in R61616.

Code:
BusyBox v1.37.0 (2025-06-02 13:53:21 +07) built-in shell (ash)

root@dd-wrt:~# free
total        used        free      shared  buff/cache   available
Mem:         379784      293248       55184           0       31352        3528
Swap:        524284       55668      468616
root@dd-wrt:~#

I used to have swapoff -a in my startup. Then I started having random reboots. Then I saw the low amount of available memory. I re-enabled the swap usage and the random reboots stopped.

I attached most recent DMESG and MESSAGES. (I scrubbed my Public IP from the logs)

All releases for this router from r60771 onward did away with the Switch Config tab in favor of DSA and Vlan Filtering.

Yep - that's why I avoided releases after r60742 until reports here looked more stable. Wink

I would recommend screen capturing all your settings pages, upgrade then do a full reset. Reboot twice or eth0 and eth1 may still be present on br0 and should not be (these are replaced by wan, and lan1 - lan4). Then under Basic Setup disable the WAN save & apply. This alone should automatically assign wan to br0. Once verified proceed with your additional setup requirements.

I'll try again with a reset and double reboot when I have a chance to tinker some more.

I can say that eth0/eth1 were not present on br0 when I attempted (I had also cleared out old MAC entries/stale interfaces using your script - thanks btw!).

It actually looked all correct with wan, lan1-4 and wlan0/1 all appearing correctly under br0. However, WiFi clients were not getting internet access (they did successfully authenticate and connect to the WiFi, but their traffic wasn't routing properly). Wired clients were all fine.

I just questioned the "wan port assignment" setting being "wan" and whether that's correct if the wan port was to be assigned to the switch as per my setup (or whether my type of setup has been tested by anyone - very basic, just a second and third router in the network with all wired ports being used for the network and WiFi AP).

Thanks for the reply!

All my secondary routers have the WAN port disabled in Basic Setup and automatically assigned to br0. This would not cause the wifi to not have Internet access in any way. I assume your dhcp server is your main gateway, and if that's working as you said, you should have Internet unless there is a simple configuration issue elsewhere.
