I forget my password so I'm trying to guess it but then it gatekeeps me and blocks me for some time, it's very annoying. I will have to reset my device but after I do, I would like to disable the gatekeeper so it doesn't lock out for too many failed attempts. How would I do that? It's not exposed to the WAN so nobody on the outside is going to be brute forcing my router. Thank you  |

if you cold boot, it will be ok with the gatekeeper....so, turn it off for a 1-2 min and try again..i dont think you can disable that option...as its hardcoded...just dont loose your password...or...enable an ssh access with key authentification and disable the password for ssh...so you will have a spare access to the unit if you forget your password...so, via ssh you can set new pass and user name any time... 
That is what i have and all of us do...
