Hello,
I try to use this good old hw:
Router Model Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS v1.1
CPU Model Broadcom BCM5352 chip rev 0
as a router-only in my LAN and I have a hard time to config as I want it:
fix IP on LAN1 and just as a router for switches:
Port 1-3 access for LAN1 - (no tag)
Port 4 access for VLAN 117 - (no tag)
WAN port access for LAN1 (no tag) and trunk for VLAN 111 115 117 119 (tag)
after one day spent with old firmware:
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r44715 vpn (11/03/20)
Kernel Version Linux 2.4.37 #62645 Tue Nov 3 07:04:00 +03 2020 mips
using this data:
vlan.ports numbers = port.vlans
reference reference
0 = Physical port 4 = port4vlan = Physical port 4
1 = Physical port 3 = port3vlan = Physical port 3
2 = Physical port 2 = port2vlan = Physical port 2
3 = Physical port 1 = port1vlan = Physical port 1
4 = WAN = port0vlan = WAN port
5 = CPU internal = port5vlan = CPU
5* = CPU internal default
and unsuccessful to have a working config from cli:
in the hope that I will have a graphical interface which will easy the job but I am missing CPU port display as per some tutorials I found , and of course I did not solve it yet.
It is normal not to have displayed CPU in graphical interface for this old hw ?[/url]
Switch Config tab does not work with these routers. I wasted a lot of time trying to make vlans work on a WRT54GLv1.1 to no avail. If you really need to use vlans on this old hardware, your best bet is to use Fresh Tomato. It works well and easy setup.
