Warning: DO NOT DO a 30-30-30/HARD RESET Doing so can erase the CFE (bootloader) and brick your router.

Prerequisites:
1. Linksys EA6500 v1 router.
2. A computer connected to the router via Ethernet.
3. DD-WRT firmware for the EA6500 v1.

Step 1: Download DD-WRT Firmware
Download firmware here: https://ftp.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/latest/linksys-ea6500/

Step 2: Access the Router's Admin Panel
1. Connect your computer to the EA6500 router via an Ethernet cable.
2. Open a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar to access the router’s admin panel.
3. Log in with your default credentials. They are normally:
Username: admin
Password: admin (or blank)

Step 3: Upload DD-WRT Firmware
1. Head over to Connectivity under Router Settings on the left panel and select the DD-WRT firmware file that you downloaded earlier.
2. To start the installation procedure, click Start and Yes on the resulting box. Your router will restart after it is finished, and the entire operation should take no more than five to ten minutes.

Step 4: Login to DD-WRT Interface
Once the flashing process is complete, wait a minute or two for the router to fully reboot.
Now, go to 192.168.1.1 again and you should see the DD-WRT login screen.
The default credentials for DD-WRT are:
Username: root
Password: admin

Step 5: Configure DD-WRT
Once logged into the DD-WRT interface, you can begin configuring your router.
Go to Setup and configure your basic network settings (e.g., wireless SSID, password, etc.).

We're sorry that we haven't moved the information from the forum thread(s) to a specific device wiki to date, but:

Thanks for the "procedure"...

EDIT: There is already a device Wiki that I was unaware of unil just now. Supported Devices Wiki updated.
