Linksys WRT1900ACS
Firmware DD-WRT v3.0-r59964 std (03/01/25)
Kernel Linux 6.1.129-rt28 #986 SMP Sat Mar 1 10:52:55 +07 2025 armv7l

Upgrade successful.
No more trouble.

If you meet LAN works but no WAN connection, you need to login GUI of DDWRT, Top menu->Setup, 2nd level menu->Networking, Check Interface Setup, WAN Port Assignment, Make current should be "wan" instead of old value "ethX", then save and Apply. It is not essential for reboot your reboot.

Router/Version: WRT1900AC v1
File/Kernel: r59964
Previous/Reset: Upgrade from v3.0-r59171 std (01/14/25)
Mode/Status:
Issues/Errors: The CPU fan of the router seemed to be on 100% indefinitely - I basically never hear it normally, so possibly something went wrong with whatever was managing the fan. I thought at first something might have been wrong like high CPU usage because it looked like the CPU usage seemed high, but I think it's just normal for there to be large CPU spikes for the first minute or two after booting (It's the same way after I reverted to an older version). Even after the CPU usage average settled down, the fan kept going at full blast - also the CPU temps looked to be fine at about 50c.

I ended up changing some other setting, I can't remember what but when I clicked to apply, the router suddenly had 0.0.0.0 as the WAN IP and I couldn't resolve anything - and it stayed like that for several minutes. I checked the settings and the WAN Port assignment was set to "wan" like it should according to what people were saying about the changes, so I don't know what the issue was. I reverted back to my old version

If there's any other specific manual interventions that need to be done besides checking that Setup>Networking>WAN port assignment=wan on the newer versions I'm unaware of what they need to be
