I have an issue with my network.
Router 1 192.168.1.1 connected to WAN, Wifi Disabled, is the DHCP server, and supplies internet to Router 2 and 3, and all Computers on network.
Router 2 192.168.1.2 is a wifi bridge. It's only purpose is providing wifi to the entire house.
Router 3 192.168.1.3 is a router connected to multiple USB hard drives and is mostly for running "transmission" for torrenting.
Router 1 has VPN client running through OpenVPN and using policy based routing has VPN only going to 192.168.1.3 - 192.168.1.10. Mostly so I can set a static IP if I want to be on VPN.
Problem is this. When I connect to VPN my wifi coming from Router 2 loses connection to internet. I can still do a speed test and check my ip address using that connection but basic internet queries usually fail. If I use split DNS then it will still have internet connection from Router 2 but when I try to torrent it doesn't work. It is very strange. I had this exact setup working in my other house and either I'm missing something, or there's a firmware bug. Either way I'm about out of ideas. I'm sure you'll need more info to help. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.
