This seems to be a very solid release so far. All WAPs/VAPs working and all VLANs working. The single leftover WDS tab from last build is gone.

****** OK, So I upgraded the r7800 AP 1st and no problem. Comes right back with an internet connection. Next I do one EA8500 Station and it comes right back up with no internet connection. Waited a while and rebooted several times till finally going back to r59171 on the Station and here I am, all is well again. Am I missing something I need to reconfig ? All settings appear to be correct and in fact comes right back when I go back to r59171

Have you tried doing a full reset and a manual reconfig? I am not using WDS on any EA8500s atm but I can set one up as a WDS station to test.

One thing you may look at. There is a setting which should not exist for 5ghz, but does.
Code:
nvram show | grep legacy
size: 29089 bytes (101983 left)
wlan0_legacy=0
wlan1_legacy=0

Make sure wlan1 is set to 0 and not 1. I have had this default to 1 on 5ghz. I would think this would get totally ignored, but who knows. Regardless, it shouldn't be there (it's in the WebUI for 2.4ghz but not for 5ghz) and if it is there, make sure it's set to zero.

OK, Just tried GUI upgrade to r59468 again with same results. Did a reset and reinstall of r59468 again and reconfig my settings and after waiting and rebooting, still no connection. Just as you said my settings are wrong:

Code:
size: 26348 bytes (104724 left)
ping_ip=nvram show | grep legacy
wlan0_legacy=1
wlan1_legacy=1

How do I correct this? Also, My AP shows 2.4 Ghz at wlan1 (with 5Ghz disabled and at wlan0) My Station reports my AP as wlan0 and my Station at wlan0.1. This has never seemed correct to me but has been this way forever and has always worked. Do I have something wrong here ?

Code:
nvram set wlan0_legacy=0
nvram set wlan1_legacy=0

And I thought wlan0 was 5GHz as well.

On the EA8500. wlan0 is 2.4ghz, wlan1 is 5ghz.

That DOES look odd. Disabling the 2.4ghz (wlan0) on mine does not move the wlan1 to wlan0. This is interesting. Perhaps post screenshots of your wifi basic setup page.

EDIT: Upon closer inspection, I can set a WDS-AP up as a Virtual, but NOT on the station side.

EDIT2: Okay, I misread your post I think. So your 2.4ghz AP is on wlan0 and your WDS Station is on wlan0.1 This should not work. Reverse the Station and AP order. The Station should be on wlan0 and the AP on wlan0.1. I cannot make wlan0.1 a WDS Station. The option is not even present.

For sake of space, all WIFI settings are an exact copy of the Sticky: QCA BEST WIFI SETTINGS. Watchdog is bout all I use. I Disable 5Ghz on all 3 routers in the Network Mode and SSID Broadcast on the WIreless page, Disable Protection Mode,SFE. I don`t use any thing else.

As for EDIT2:
"""EDIT2: Okay, I misread your post I think. So your 2.4ghz AP is on wlan0 and your WDS Station is on wlan0.1 This should not work. Reverse the Station and AP order. The Station should be on wlan0 and the AP on wlan0.1"""

My AP is wlan1 (5Ghz is wlan0) and is Disabled. Don`t seem any way to change any of that ??

On the EA8500, wlan0 should be 2.4ghz and wlan1 is 5ghz (note this is opposite on the R7800). This is how it is on all three of my EA8500s and from the photo mrjcd posted, his too. Something is very strange here. Do a full reset on it and see if they swap. How long has it been since you did a full reset on it?
