Trying to find a router that is sold **WPA3** supported out of the box and of course is able to be flashed with dd-wrt. I have been trying to cross reference from searches to this site but have yet to find a match. Tried the "old fashioned way" of searching on the web and cross referencing. Also used the "new way" and Chat-Gpt seems not to be accurate in helping provide a list matching both criteria (wpa3 and ddwrt eligible).

Any suggestions? thank

You probably mean wpa3?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi_Protected_Access

What is your use case and why do you want WPA3?

To give you an idea, all supported AX routers support WPA3 and a lot of the ath10K routers (R7800, EA8500) there are others but there is no list.

Perhaps research a router you want and then ask at the forum.

(Just joined the site. Noob at proper response formatting..)

My use case for WPA3 is to keep with the times. Nothing grandiose.

I looked up an AX router TP-Link AX1800 WiFi 6 Router V4. Cross reference on this site in the downloads search and I did not receive a match. Confused if it is supported.

Thanks

In general, see the forum guidelines with helpful pointers about how to research your router, where and what firmware to download, where and how to post and many other helpful tips:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=324087

However I am not sure if the supported devices table is current but we have this thread for AX routers (also not sure how current that is):
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=324911

I have a Dynalink DL-WRX36 and happy with it, I recommend a router with at least 1 GB RAM and 256 or more Flash

https://wikidevi.wi-cat.ru/TP-LINK_Archer_AX1800

Of course, there's no info for v2 through v4, but TP-Link is a creature of habit within a single product family for the most part. An FCC ID would help narrow down the details to confirm, but your router is most likely Broadcom-powered and most likely won't get support from DD-WRT.

Yeah I have been using ddwrt on WRT54GL However that router doesnt support WPA3. So i am looking for something similar and compatible with the software.

Literally any 32+MB flash size router..preferably Atheros based radio...I would say best result..
Netgear R7800 or its reboxed version XR500...or some new AX supported devices... https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=336733
Ive only one device capable of proper WPA3 but i still use WPA2 and im happy chappy...unless you really need WPA3 as an enterprise support...
