At the moment there is a beta running on openwrt aboout support for the MR7500.
Earlier a topic about the MR7500 was closed due to a misunderstanding about the mr7350 a different router!

MR7350: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=336706

MR7500: The "real Hydra pro. https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=329070&highlight=mr7500

The status quo on openwrt:

https://forum.openwrt.org/t/adding-support-for-linksys-mr7500/170721/8

Both routers compared.
https://versus.com/en/linksys-hydra-pro-6e-vs-linksys-mr7350-max-stream

Can we expect a DD-wrt version of this firmware?

i started making a blind port which usually works. but if not serial logs are required and for 6ghz support i really need the device in my hand. there are too many things to consider which i cannot resolve in a blind way. i will post a image here once the build is done.

I saw one of these on closeout today at Walmart for $59. I will go back tomorrow morning and if it's still there I'll pick it up and provide you with serial logs.

Also just found this which may be helpful:

Not available on Amazon.de. It is available on Amazon.com for ~$160, vs the $300+ (300 Euro) I was told via email. Biggest problem with US-procured devices is due to customs as of late.

I went back this morning to buy it and it was gone, damnit! I believe it was a return which is why it was so cheap. I will look into getting one from ebay. There are many there for under $80.

I wasn't sure if that link was helpful or not. Figured it may provide some kernel module clues if nothing else.

the support is more or less easy. just 6 ghz is more complicated since i dont have a qca9000 card yet which supports it. i ordered this device for that overpriced money (this device should have more than 512mb ram with 3 wifi cards for instance). i'm just waiting now for feedback on the posted image

I will gladly test this asap, but like you I am still awaiting a MR7500 to arrive.

According to the Linksys website, this device has 2GB DDR3L RAM.

I'll keep an eye out for a pair of mx8500s too Wink
