Hello,
or done numerous tests to be able to get a speed at least equal to the ZTE that the provider gave me. At most I can have a speed equal to half. ZTE 934mips Netgear R7800 504mips. It is true that I have VLANs active but it is also true that the ZTE processor is single. I attach the CFG to understand what is wrong, if any, in my configuration. Thank you.

I don't understand what questions are still open, I have already posted the current speeds in the other thread.

The router does not manage 1000Mbit.
Not with kernel 6 and not without tricks like SFE/NSS.

If this is too slow for you then you have to flash an old kernel 4 build or buy a router with more CPU power.

Thank you for your reply. I'd rather have it updated. Can you tell me what tricks there are to improve performance? In any case, what is the latest version with kernel 4?

SFE = Shortcut forwarding Engine
NSS= Network SubSystem

However, it does not work properly with various configurations.
ordinary QoS does not work
there are problems with unbridged network interfaces (e.g. VAPs)
general stability problems (router crashes and reboots)

I don't know, I don't use it.
My gateway has enough CPU power for several Gbit

I understand that a switch from one kernel to another always brings problems, sometimes deep, because environment variables change, more or less important functions that generate unexpected errors. The hope is that they can be solved. Unfortunately, there are some things that remain very useful and currently unavailable. Open source has this limitation.
Do you think there are predictable times or are they without timing?

SFE has been around for many years (~6) and has always had such restrictions.
What is new is the performance degradation with kernel 6 - nobody knows if this can be fixed.

Maybe you should also read the forum instead of just asking questions because the whole issue has been hotly debated since the kernel 6 images
