an AP typically has a hostname ; an AP typically can be moved around geographically without any changes to its network configuration.

it is nice to have some user comments for an AP, such as where it is located.

please, add a "Router comment" field that is displayed immediately below "Router name" ; while you're at it, add a "Router admin comment" field that is displayed only for admins

There is only one user which always has root access that is the admin/root.

Just make a name with its place in it e.g. R7800-attic

Problem solved Wink

sometimes modifiying the hostname is not desirable. phyisical location is just an example ; modifying the hostname often requires a cascade of other changes in the configuration of other hosts on the same network. a simple "comments" field should not be too hard to add, nor should it cause too many problems

You already have "Router Name", which doesn't propagate to "Hostname"... and I don't see the validity of the statement that it would cause further configuration issues. If one has multiple routers of the same model, then the hostname should be different for local DNS resolution, anyway.
