Experiencing unexplained high load after upgrading to r56029 and later, including current latest r58568. Anything prior to r56029 seems to work fine, and I've had the device in operation for a year or so with no issues. Problem now is the system load continuously hovers between 0.9-2.0 with seemingly no reason. There are no processes going crazy, plenty of free memory and I'm starting from factory defaults. The issue is present without any configuration after the factory reset, as soon as you can reach the GUI.

The hardware is Netgear WAC124 and I've tried several cold boots and resets (GUI & reset button). Attached is the log & ps output after reset with essentially just creds set up, wireless disabled and sshd & logging (+console_debug=1) enabled. I've got one computer connected through the embedded switch which I'm using for testing.

Looks like this was reported in the release thread:

Any help appreciated - Thanks!

If it's not an issue with the current release as of my reply (11-02-2024-r58627), then it's moot to troubleshoot it. Especially if you cannot provide all the details to reproduce the problem (configuration details via screenshot). Thanks.

Thanks for the reply and pointing out there was new release available - I apparently missed it this morning. Things seem to be better with r58627, but I'm still seeing 0.2-0.9 avg load while the unit is idling. I think the question remains, why is there a sustained system load while the unit is literally doing nothing?

I have 3 of these APs and on the older releases avg load is typically closer to 0.05 than what I see now. In my usual config I have multiple VAPs and VLANs, light SNMP monitoring, etc. - so the other APs are definitely not sitting idle like this one. With the latest release as the load reaches >1.0, sensitive applications such as games (nintendo handheld specifically) start lagging and dropping game sessions. With the latest release removed from the network (or downgraded) everything works fine.

There's not enough wine in the world to deal with my SO when her game kicks her out on a Saturday night. I appreciate your attention.
