When can we expect a stable release, since it always goes from beta to beta?

Are there mostly fixed changes happening here, or are new features constantly being added so that one never gets out of the beta stage?

I'd be interested to know if there's a road map with priorities, or what the general situation is.

Thank you

The beta vs stable thing is a distinction of the past really. Beta is it. Stable as a dd-wrt concept is obsolete. Just watch the build threads for your type of router.

I'm still on 62606, as after that major changes kicked in, in particular a major change to the linux kernel, and the dust is still settling from that.

WPA2personal/WPA3 w/ AES, VAPs, NAS, station mode, OpenVPN client (AirVPN), wireguard server (AirVPN port forward) and clients (AzireVPN, AirVPN, private), Two SmartDNS/DoT providers and one DNSCrypt provider via VPNs. DNSmasq manages that plus ad blocking and local DNS.

DDWRT is by far the most frequently updated/fixed/patched firmware, among them all....and yes it is in the constant beta state...ever since...
It is a game of cats and dogs when it is up to update binaries as sometimes things get broken, and it requires testing and ect. ...for most user scenario's firmware it is stable...kind of..until you break it by using incompatible settings or some of the new binaries are not fully compatible or require backports and ect....so, it is up to the user to monitor and report if anything is found in order to be patched/fixed/updated...
And yes the last stable build was 62606, but it lack of vital binaries updates like SmartDNS, DNSmasq and ect....every update afterwards are based on nft-tables and this requires a new approach for some user scenarios...even if iptables module still persist it is advisable to translate rules to nft-tables..."if possible"
