LN1301 range and signal?

I just installed ddwrt from 10/5/24 on my LN1301, but its range and signal aren't as strong as my MR7350 running a build from early September. Is this normal? The LN1301 is advertised as having a higher range than the MR7350, but with nearly identical configurations, the MR7350 has better range.

I'm happy with the stock firmware in terms of signal.
How's dd-wrt perform? Also, is SSH not included?

It doesn't perform well at all currently. I would not recommend using dd-wrt on it until the signal range issues are improved.

SSH should work...
