Yeah too bad that Broadcom isnt opening up the source for the wifi6 parts.
I have a v1 ax55 so im looking forward to some alternative firmware in the future (hopefully). The AX55 is a good bargain and works pretty well--fantastic bargain.
Hi. I have recently got an AX55, and I am not satisfied with the stock software. I can donate my device to get it supported, but how do I find out if it's v1 or v2?
Ah, I found the information in the System Update section of the router interface - there is an entry called "Hardware Version", which confirms that my device is v. 1.
I have contacted the email address for hardware donations and will proceed according to their instructions.
Greetings to all. I join those who are waiting dd-wrt firmware for ax55. I became the owner of this device, the characteristics and price are very attractive, but the standard firmware is very bad

Well, I can tell you that I sent one of these devices to the DD-WRT team back when I last posted, so maybe you can expect that there has been some work done with it.

There have been no public code commits for the v1, and if you didn't follow shipping instructions, it was never received -- which has happened many times in the past. Also, newer TP-Link devices are more challenging to port, as seen with C9 v5, which is still not supported. I'll inquire about receipt. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Nope. And I never received confirmation of receipt if the device was actually donated and received by the developer via email reply,
and @appas never confirmed whether or not the device was received or returned to sender. This is nothing new... _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
