When the 3200 first came out I got taken in by the open source branding and bought one for use with DD-WRT. It was nothing but trouble, with connection losses, frequent reboots, and every other problem in the book. The forums were awash with different and conflicting advice on special builds, setting tweaks, and general voodo, none of which ever made my 3200 work. After 6 months I gave up on Linksys and DD-WRT and moved over to netgear running tomato. My R7000, while working great, is almost old enough to vote. Has anything changed with the 3200acm that makes it useable with dd-wrt, or is it still broken? I’d like to take advantage of the fancier radios and beefier soc in the 3200acm if I can.
You can use the current release of DD-WRT and get the WRT3200ACM working ok - as long as you restrict it to WPA2 and US Region and 5GHZ wifi to ch36 or ch149

Range still sucks but it is a fast enough router for my 500Mbps broadband. I got taken in by the open source mantra. Power tables and country code are locked from my understanding.
